15 Signs that You're Meant to Be Together

still hung over from valentines?hehe :D i just saw this list in cyberspace and i have to admit, this is what i'm looking for. which is probably why i'm still single. haha :) i won't even highlight my favorites because i like the whole list :D

1. You tell him things you don’t tell anyone else. We don’t mean blurting something out when you’re emotionally unstable, but the desire to tell him intimate details about your life means you trust him — a major component of successful long-term love.

2. You let him see you in moments of weakness. It’s easy to be happy with someone when you’re feeling good about life. But what about when you’re not doing so well? Do you want to see him when you’ve been denied a raise, or your cat died, or you had a plain old bad day? He should be a comfort during tough times, not a burden.

3. You respect him. You don’t want to change the essence of who he is. There may be stuff that irritates you in everyday life — he insists on wearing his favorite holey T-shirt, he eats sugar cereal for dinner, he still watches Saturday morning cartoons — but you like him, plain and simple.

4. You want him to meet your parents. You feel proud of him and you want to show him off — as opposed to feeling like you have to make excuses for him.

5. You can imagine a future together. You don’t have to practice writing your first name with his last name, but do you periodically let your mind wander to picture a life together? Is it amazing?

6. You’re not afraid to disagree with him. You know that even if you fight, he’ll listen to you and won’t brush you off. He takes you seriously, even when he thinks you’re wrong.

7. You want to work out your major differences. If you do have crucial differences that will impact your future together — different opinions about religion, money, or something else — you want to work them out with him, and you believe you can come to a conclusion that will satisfy both of you.

8. You laugh together. Laughter is one of life’s simplest pleasures — you should definitely be able to crack each other up.

9. You’re incredibly, utterly, surprisingly attracted to him. Physical chemistry is an undeniably important ingredient in a healthy relationship. And if he’s not your usual “type”? Even more reason to think he’s the one.

10. It’s OK to be quiet around him. You don’t feel like you have to fill the space between you with chatter or other interaction. Instead, you feel an easy comfort.

11. You feel like yourself around him. You don’t feel like you have to edit your thoughts; you’re not self-conscious or anxious.

12. You need him the right amount. You long for him — but not too much. Some neediness is good, but too much breeds discontent.

13. You don’t feel too jealous. You’re comfortable with him going out with his friends — even female friends. You let each other have your own lives and hobbies.

14. You feel like he makes you a better person. He makes you feel smart, funny, attractive, creative — like the best version of yourself. You feel like he brings out and complements the best parts of you.

15. He just gets you. Sometimes it’s that easy. You feel like he understands some essential part of you that you can’t explain or articulate. It’s a warm, comfortable feeling — and one you should have with the person you marry.

Top 14 favorite mushy movie moments

Yes, it's that time of the year again. Just like last year, my first post for the year has been about looove in its cheeziest form. I have missed blogging last Christmas and New Year but obviously missing a Valentine post is out of the question. It's the only time when the sappy in me has an excuse to post nauseatingly mushy blogs like this one. oh how I love it :)

presenting, not in chronological order, my Top 14 favorite mushy movie moments. No dialogue or cheezy lines. just pure picture perfect moments <3 I tried not to use most of the movies i've used on last year's list (I've used 8 out of 15 movies last year. Err..) and not to use very similar moments or concepts. Needless to say, the list has 2 Drew Barrymore's, John Cusack's and Julia Roberts'. Yes, I played favorites this year :)

Anyway, here goes. Happy Valentines Everyone :)

1. Say Anything

I have to start with this movie just like last year because it's one of my Ultimate favorite movies :) i struggled in choosing which moment to feature here but this spells picture perfect more than any scene so there you go. Like i said, no need for mushy lines on this one. This says it all. I love Lloyd Dobler inlove <3

2. Ever After

I don't know if you noticed but that's a girl, a prince and a horse under the moonlight, which goes without saying that this scene came straight out of my fairytale dreams :P

3. A Lot Like Love

I love the scene when Oliver came out of nowhere and kissed her when the clock striked 12 on New Year's. It was very "to the rescue". realizing again how much I love this movie :)

4. Little Manhattan

eating ice-cream while walking in the park <333

Gabe, you stud. i am a fan of the big spender :)

5. The Notebook

This movie is just filled with picture perfect moments but I had to choose just one because I don't want to post the whole movie here. So, going with the no cheezy lines theme, here is the dancing-in-the-middle-of-the-street-with-no-music-on scene. This is for a friend ;)

6. Runaway Bride

ok i cheated. I chose two scenes from this movie. Is it my fault that their montage before the wedding was just pure loove? :D I picked the one where they were playing cards because it was such a happy moment and the swing one, because hello, swiiing <3

7. Serendipity

This list would not be complete without my favorite New York moment (and snow moment for that matter) in the history of forever. I can't find a skating picture of them so I picked an equally picture perfect moment of Cassiopeia-ness. Before Tom started drawing buildings on Summer's arm, this moment already captured my heart a long time ago. Sorry Tom but constellation > architecture. haha :P

8. Clueless

because mushy movie moment lists should never be without one of my favorite couples, Josh and Cher, in my all-time favorite Teen movie, Clueless. Usually, watching TV on the couch does not equate to mushiness but if you're me and if it was Josh and Cher, you would understand. I LOVE this scene :) :) :) You really don't need much props or even romantic lighting to create a happy scene like this one.

9. How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days

ok, so maybe it was the background song Feels Like Home that really sold this scene to me but hey, I've always wanted a looking-far-away-at-sea moment in a boat or ship of some sort like this one so yeah, this counts as a fave :D

10. Wall-E

i have always excluded animations on my movie lists, especially Disney, because it is a different category and I think it deserves a separate list. However, in thinking about movie moments sans cheezy lines, one cannot help but think about Wall-E, the robot who made us all fall in love without saying anything other than "E-va". I hereby declare him "exception to the rule" This scene features the holding-hand scene. LOVE <3

11. Notting Hill

Can anybody tell me what could be better than this? This picture is the epitome of contentment and marital bliss. it has LOVE written all over it. <3

12. 50 First Dates

I cheated: the sequel. I love the montage of this movie as well, so sue me. I mean chasing each other with the sun setting in the background - hello?can i hear a big resounding DUH? :D and of course, a moment by the beach with a bonfire - i just had to. They sure made it really easy for romantics to love this movie :D

13. 10 Things I Hate About You

The paintball scene!!! waaah!!! Enough Said! :D

14. When Harry Met Sally

Ending the list with another Ultimate Fave, I leave you with Harry and Sally watching Casablanca at the same time over the phone. If you don't see the beauty of this scene, I don't know what to say to you.
