9 things i hate about everyone

9 things i hate about everyone

  1. People who point at their wrist asking for the time. I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?
  2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the TV remote because they refuse to walk to the TV and change the channel manually.
  3. When people say, “you just want to have your cake and eat it too.” What good is cake if you can’t eat it?
  4. When people say, “it’s always the last place you look.” Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you’ve found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they?
  5. When people say while watching a film, “Did you see that?” No, idiot, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the fuckin’ floor.
  6. People who ask, “Can I ask you a question?” Didn’t give me a choice there, did you sunshine?
  7. When something is ‘new and improved.’ Which is it? If it’s new, then there has never been anything before it. If it’s an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn’t be new.
  8. When people say “life is short.” What the hell? Life is the longest fuckin’ thing anyone ever does. What can you do that’s longer?
  9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks, “Has the bus come yet?” If the bus came, would I be standing here?

hahaha :P just felt the need to share :)

Don't Blame it on Disney!

"Second chances. Girls take more of them than guys do. Why? I blame Disney, building up these false hopes, making me believe I can have my Prince Charming. We believe that one day we’re going to be saved, that one day, one boy is going to come & change our whole lives around in the most perfect way. In the movies there’s no ‘other woman’, there’s no deception. There’s just a happy ending, conditions & circumstances don’t apply. So what are we to do when our hearts get broken? The logical thing to do is move on, of course, but despite all the lying, the cheating, the crushed dreams, & the painful memories, there’s a speck of hope. A tiny little, itty bitty piece of our hearts that’s begging for the fairy tale, screaming that we let him try again. So we do. We cry & bite our tongues, hoping that this liar in aluminium foil will finally become our knight in shining armour. Hoping that this time he’ll be able to make us feel safe & actually do it. That’s why we break so easily; cause our fairy tale dreams are placed on real life boys. Boys who need to be saved themselves." - Lottes

I really hate it when people blame Disney for their heartbreak. I should hope that girls have a mind of their own to differentiate between fairytales and reality and act accordingly. I myself am a self-confessed Disney fanatic, and while I do fantasize about fairytales and happy-ever-afters, I don't expect my life to be that way because - DUH - Life isn't that way. I don't expect guys to be prince charmings who would take me on a magic carpet ride, find my missing glass slipper, and live in an Enchanted castle. I just enjoy watching movies like that kc napapa- "Aww" ako and it makes me feel all giddy inside :) But when it comes to my life, my choices are mine alone and although outside forces can influence these, it's still up to me if I would base my decisions from whatever-it-is-that-may-affect-my-decision. so kung nagpapakagago ka sa boyfriend mo, wag mong sisihin ung Disney sa pagbigay sa kanya ng second chance. sisihin mo sarili mo! bweset!!

yun lang. nkakapikon e. hahahaha :D sarap lang mag-rant!

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Winning a Girl

reposted from this multiply :P

1. Some traditional rules just never fade. For one, be a gentleman all the time.Open the door for her, especially when she’s carrying a hefty load. When walking together, make sure you’re always at the ‘danger’ side, and not her. Simple things like that do tell a lot about a guy, so don’t waste any single opportunity you get to make her see what you’re worth. ;)

2. Never be a stalker. More than that, never let her think that you are one.

3. Be a friend. Let her know you’re always just around the corner. Just keep in mind that it doesn’t mean you should literally be. Haha.

4. Once in a while, give her your best treats. They don’t necessarily have to be pricey. Sometimes even her favorite lollipop or a Krispy Kreme may already be enough to work its trick. After all, it is a known fact that every girl is, at one point or another, a sucker for sweets! ;)

5. Whenever you see her in the hallways, smile. Better yet, smile while looking at her straight in the eye. (HAHAHA. Sorry, I just had to laugh!)

6. Tell her she has big arms, a bulging belly, or the fattest face most times. (Just don’t overdo it. Saying all those insults — whether they are true or not— all at once may get you killed. Haha!) And then, once in a blue moon — once, and not twice— tell her she’s just… incredibly beautiful, and actually mean it. :)

7. Want her to miss you so terribly? Learn to give her space. Don’t overtext her. Don’t overchat her. Don’tovercall her. IN SHORT, never overdo your efforts. Make sure you let her breathe, so take it easy!

8. Girls aren’t the only ones who should play hard-to-get in the game of love. Take note that just like guys, girls also like challenge, whether they admit it or not. So boys, don’t be too easy. Learn to play the field! (An example for the newly acquainted: Do not text her within the first hour after you got her number. It’ll look like you’re too… excited, and believe it or not, it’s not exactly as good as you might think it is.)

9. Know how to read the signs. If she keeps on saying NO to your invitations, then maybe it means you should stop asking already. This, however, doesn’t automatically mean your chances with her are already dead. Just give it some time, and soon enough, maybe she’ll come around. (If she doesn’t, then oh well, I’m sure you’ll get over it.)

10. Be unpredictable. Surprise her when she least expects it. Fight with her when she doesn’t think you have the guts to. Never be monotonous. That way, you will surely get into her mind whether she likes it or not!

---

I completely agree with numbers 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! but WTH is 5??hahahaha :P

and oh man, #4 & 6, works everytime :) and also 10 narin. hahaha :D

Catcher in the Rye

Rating:★★★★
Category:Books
Genre: Literature & Fiction
Author:J.D. Salinger
one of those books that I vow to read someday. well, I finally did!

Well, Holden Caulfield is certainly a character. He reminds me of Jess in Gilmore Girls. Rebel without a cause :) I love reading about what he thinks because it's so different from how "normal" people thinks. I love how he loves his sister and his brother but basically hates everyone else. I love how the book is written like Holden is just talking to you casually. It's simply written. Not too deep with the use of words but not shallow in meaning. The plot is unpredictable which makes it all the more interesting. You really don't know where he's gonna end up next. and the ending was surprising and just a tad bitin. but after reading from Holden's POV, you can't really be surprised. All in all, He's now one of my favorite fictional characters :) The book was definitely a worth read :P

some quotes:

"That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can."

"The best thing, though, in that museum was that everything always stayed right where it was. Nobody’d move… . Nobody’d be different. The only thing that would be different would be you."

“What I was really hanging around for, I was trying to feel some kind of a good-by. I mean I’ve left schools and places I didn’t even know I was leaving them. I hate that. I don’t care if it’s a sad good-by, or a bad good-by, but when I leave a place I like to know I’m leaving it. If you don’t, you feel even worse.”

Perfect Fifths

Rating:★★★★
Category:Books
Genre: Literature & Fiction
Author:Megan McCafferty
I have finally read the fifth and final book of the series. and I've got to say that WOW. Megan McCafferty is pure genius. She blows my mind. I seriously want to be her friend.

This is the only book that is partly told by Marcus Flutie and I have to admit it did take away some of his mysterious air, which is his number 1 charm but it did manage to make him a bit more real and a little less fictional. and that made him even more attractive to me (if that's even possible).

The book is more talk than actions really and that's what I like most about it. They were just talking and talking and I was just squirming on my seat. The underlying theme of the book is "predestined fate disguised as random happenstance", which I LOVE :D The book is loaded with double meanings and flashbacks. It was gooooooooood. I think Megan did an awesome job in ending the series. Most series start really good tapos bagsak sa ending e. But this book didn't disappoint thank God :)

I didn't copy any quotes cause I was so absorbed with the book so I'll just leave an excerpt :)

Marcus: I thought we were just talking
Jessica: Marcus, we have never just talked.
Marcus: True enough

(Parentheses speak
More than we dare say out loud
Why, oh, why is that?)

pretty much sums up the whole book. hahaha :)

Wendy or Tinkerbell?

The way I see it, every girl has to deal with a Peter Pan at some point in her life. A man-child, if you will. They’re fun, charming, witty, intoxicating and have such a magnetic personality that you don’t notice you’ve fallen completely in love with them until 4 months later. Then you have to decide which type of girl you are.

Are you a Wendy or a Tinkerbell?

See, if you’re a Wendy, you realize that the novelty of running through the neighbour’s lawn sprinklers at 3am completely naked and stealing bags of chips from 7-Eleven while one of you distracts the clerk, has worn off. So you pack up your bags and go off to grad school where you meet a nice young dentist that you can take home to your mom. Sure, sometimes you sit in bed with that perfect man lying next to you, thinking back on that one time you stole a couple shopping carts from Walgreens and raced them down the empty street. And you’ll smile, but you won’t regret moving on and taking responsibility for your life.

Now if you’re a Tinkerbell, you stay with Peter. Because you love one another and you both have an unspoken understanding that you’ve got too many psychological issues between you for it to work with anyone else. You thrive off the excitement and silliness of everything he does and it never gets old. You know why? Because you’re the only one who really “gets” him. And vice-versa. If you’re having a bad day he’ll put on Gilmore Girls because he knows it’ll make everything ok, if only for a few hours. And that, my friends, is true love.

Mama

Something just happened 10 minutes ago and I just have to blog it eventhough I know I won't forget this ever :)

Ma: (suddenly appearing by the door) Ate may swine flu daw sa ospital nyo, totoo ba?
Jam: (still typing at the laptop) oo, sa ward 71. may isang nurse dun galing america. nakuha nya dun.
Ma: Ate, magaral ka nalang ule. wag ka ng magnurse, nde mo naman gusto un dba?magopisina ka nalang.
Jam: (in a whatever tone cz lage nman nya sinasbe sakin un. nangaasar) ok ka lang?
Ma: cge na ate, magaral ka nalang ule. 2 yrs lang nman un
Jam: (noticing the change in my mom's voice, looks at her.

well, that's the gist. the point is umiiyak xa sa takot kc baka magkaswineflu ako. Isn't that just the sweetest thing ever?:) natouched ako sobra kahit na pabalang parin ako sumagot. hahaha :P

un lang nman, sharing :) Moms are the best, no? :D

How to get the girl

girls totoo ba to???hahahaha :P I think giving the girl a tiny bit of attention will make a girl notice a guy rin nman. pero ignoring a girl is really classic. it has been proven to be effective numerous times. iba ata appeal ng suplado at ang attractive ng mga guys na walang gusto sayo. bakit nga baaa?? gustong gusto tlga natin naghahabol e. ewan ko ba! :D or is it just another example of "wanting someone you can't have". The challenge and excitement that comes with it?ako mismong babae nde ko maintindihan mga kapwa ko babae e. hahaha :P

Objects of my Affection

I have been known to become too attached to fictional characters in books, movies and TV so it shouldn't be a surprise to learn that I too get attached to inanimate objects. Non-living entities that has been with me since Day1 that couldn't possibly appreciate my loyalty to them are still here with me. If they could possibly talk, I bet they would say "Give me a break!" But they couldn't so sorry nalang sila! hahaha :P and because I love them, they should be featured in my blog :) Here are the top 5 things that has a special place in my heart forever and ever and everrrrr! heirloom material!

1. my rubber shoes

This is the only item that was bought here and not in Pinas. Originally my mom's, pero inangkin ko pra gamitin pag nagduduty ako sa ospital. ok kc walang sintas so nde ko klngan problemahin na matatapilok ako sa sintas ko. It has been my shoes for almost 4 yrs now ata. tingnan nyo nman ung ichura. wasak na wasak na. It makes people say "Jam, sumusweldo ka ba?bumili ka kaya ng bagong sapatos?" hahaha :P but no! we have been through ups and downs when I was a student and ngyong nagwowork nako, does that mean pagpapalit ko na xa??idontthinkso. haha :) pero since mukang malapit na xa magretire. I am planning na pagpahingahin na xa this July, when I finish the NewGrad programme sa ospital. may awa rin nman ako no! pero it won't be the same :(

2. my blue shirt

I can still remember buying this in the sale pile in SM southmall. It was a size smaller for me pero I was adamant in buying it kc gustong gusto ko tlaga xa and sale nman. I wore it to most junior events nung highschool, kc blue. and I still continued to wear it until college. I was wearing that shirt when I had a picture taken with my crush. It was the shirt I was wearing nung naging kami nung 1st serious bf ko. grabe daba?witness xa sa lahat! prang bestfriend lang! hahaha :P and now I can't wear it anymore kc ang laki ko na..huhuhuhu!!!!! :( pero I'm not gonna give it away shempre. papamana ko siguro sha someday pag kaya ko na xa ilet go. umaaasa pa ata akong papayat pako! hahaha :P

3. my purple bag

I remember buying this sa UST tiangge. It was my first "big" bag. pag aalis kc for outings and such, wla akong malaking bag. so naisip ko i needed one. It was the bag i used to put my clothes in nung nakitira ako sa bahay ng tito ko nung college. 1 taon rin un! basta may outing, roadtrip whatever, asahan nyong magkasama kame. gamit ko rin xa when i went back home and u can just imagine the faces of my friends. "buhay parn yan!!" hahaha :P sabe pa ng isang mom ng friend ko (mas nauna nyang nakita ung bag) "o anjan na c jam?" OMG daba?pati nanay kilala e! and I'm so happy nakasama rin xa sa Sydney! awwww...ang layo na ng narating namen! :) ngayon may kapatid na xang bag. and they're getting along well. It took me 5 years ata bago xa magkaron ng kasama. hehe :)

4. pencil case

I bought this one sa greenhills naman. I needed a pencilcase for school and so I bought it. and kahit green na ung loob nya dahil nagtae ung highlighter ko e love na love ko parin tong pencilcase nato. nasa loob nya e ung faber castell highlighter buddies ko (hindi sila ung nagtae, stabilo un! HMP!).. nagpabili pa tlga ako sa pinsan ko dati ng specific na highlighter na yun kc ang arte ko lang! hahaha :P

5. missed shirt

This is the only object here that was actually a gift and not bought. It was a despedida gift from Reena, my bestfriend, before I left. She stitched the words herself and it says "missed" kc I will be "missed" daw. and for that reason alone e ksama talaga xa sa favorite things ko. In my fear of ruining the shirt, I rarely wear it. I consider it my lucky shirt and I only wear it when I have exams and presentations to give me luck and so far it hasn't failed me :) It is the only piece of clothing that I am not too lazy to handwash :) hahaha :P special treatment talaga! hehe :P and since I'm done with school, I wonder when I'll be able to wear it again..

so that's my little family of treasured items :) I have a lot of old gifts from GS/HS pa na dinala ko rin dito pero sila tlga ung bida among them all. wala lang share ko lang. I feel so happy just doing this blog. hahaha :P loserrrrr!

Why, Archie?Whhyyy??

seryoso??after all these years, c Veronica ang pipiliin nya! it just goes to show that Archie is just like every other guy in the male population! hahaha :P apektado talaga! at first nashock ako na may Archie comics parin. then saka lang nagsink-in na si Veronica ang pinili nya. badtrip lang e! Betty parin!! hahaha :D

I've learned

I've learned...

By Omer B. Washington

I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I’ve learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don’t care back.
I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust
and only seconds to destroy it.
I’ve learned that it’s not what you have in your life
but who you have in your life that counts.
I’ve learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you’d better know something.

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare yourself
to the best others can do,
but to the best you can do.
I’ve learned that it’s not what happens to people,
It’s what they do about it that matters.
I’ve learned that no matter how thin you slice it,
there are always two sides.
I’ve learned that you should always talk to loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you’ll see them.
I’ve learned that you can keep going
long after you think you can’t.

I’ve learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
When it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.
I’ve learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don’t know how to show it.
I’ve learned that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

I’ve learned that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I’ve learned that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I’ve learned that no matter how good a friend is,
they’re going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I’ve learned that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken,
the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I’ve learned that our background and circumstances may influence who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.

I’ve learned that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.
And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

I’ve learned that sometimes you have to put the individual
ahead of their actions.
I’ve learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves go farther in life.
I’ve learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don’t even know you.
I’ve learned that even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I’ve learned that writing,
as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.
I’ve learned that the people you care most about in life
are taken from you too soon.
I’ve learned that it’s hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice
and not hurting people’s feelings and standing up for what you believe.

I’ve learned to love
and be loved.

away nalang oh!

haha :D this made me smile :)

“Letting go is like getting a tooth pulled out by a dentist. Pull it out, you’re relieved. But how many times does your tongue run itself over the spot where the tooth once was? Probably a hundred times a day. Just because it wasn’t hurting doesn’t mean you don’t notice it leaves a gap and sometimes you find yourself missing it terribly. It’s going to take a while, but it takes time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, cause it was causing you so much pain. Let go.” — Anonymous

hapi 4 yrs! :)

It's been f-o-u-r years since we got here. and as usual, it's inevitable for me to look back on where I've been and where I am now.

Four years ago, I have been the anywhere-but-here girl. I just want to leave this miserable place and go back home. I am kicking and screaming, thinking that this move ruined my life. My motto in life then was "What's the point?" para san pa kung d ko rin xa mkakasama. talaga naman! kung pwede lang manipa ng past self e. hehehe :D I was drowning myself in self-pity, sorrow and bitterness. I refused to make myself like it here. Everything is "not enough". Everything is "walang kwenta compared sa Pinas". I spent majority of my time dreaming about Pinas and what I would have been doing if I were there.

Four years later, here I am thinking that this move has been the best decision my family has ever made. It literally save our family in more ways than one. Never again will my parents work late and go home in an ungodly hour just to make ends meet for us. Never again would me and my siblings spend weekends in the house with "Ate [insert name here]" while my parents work some more. I can actually see my parents relaxing now. We can actually go out during weekends just to do whatever.and I don't know how long it's been since I last heard the words, "San tyo kukuha ng pang-tuition?" We have student loan now for the college kids and the tuition for my highschool siblings is affordable. I can honestly say that this country made our family closer and stronger. I can't emphasize enough how much this country has been good to us. Life is simpler, safer, cleaner and just downright easier. and it doesn't hurt to have a life like that. less exciting yes, but how long can you handle excitement before you get too tired, anyway?we can search for our own excitement here.

I can't believe how blind I was from all these blessings. It's really true that you see what u choose to see.If I wasn't too busy thinking about myself and a certain boy back then, I would've seen the light sooner. It's amazing how a guy can ruin a girl's perspective. hahaha :P nanisi tlga! note to self: family trumps boy everytime.

They said "Everything happens for a Reason" and it may have taken four years to actually get what that reason is but I believe it all happened in good time. and although i still think that Pinas kicks NZ's ass (no question), I now consider this place home too :)

hopeful romantic

During one of my random overthinking sessions, I came to dissect the term "hopeless romantic". I just can't understand how such an optimistic word (romantic) can be associated with such negativity (hopeless). dba??prang bigla akong naguluhan.

at dahil jan, I hereby proclaim myself a hopeful romantic.

why? because the day that I would start to think any of these things..

  • Wall-e is just a robot
  • Serendipity is full of coincidental bull
  • The notebook can't happen in real life
  • Luke and Lorelai are not perfect for each other
  • Overjoyed is just another love song
  • Vince O. Teves is gay for writing Vince's life
  • Meg Cabot book endings are stupid and too far off
  • Renewal of vows is just a waste of time and money
  • The proposal in Runaway Bride is too cheezy
  • Casablanca is just a black and white movie

..would probably mean that I am on the verge of starting to collect cats and is planning to take a bath just every other day. or maybe it would mean I finally grew up. It could only be one or the other. Who knows right? All I know is, until that day comes (if ever it comes), you can't take the hope from this romantic :)

my happy ending :)

another stolen entry from Teacher Tina. fenx! :)

"Every movie we see, Every story we're told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave.

And maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe... it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is... just... moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment... you never gave up hope"

It never ends. Life goes on..

trying hard

"Trying Hard" or TH. Ilang beses ko ng nagamit at narinig gamitin ang term na yan. "ang trying hard nman nya, d naman bagay..", "ang trying hard nya mag-[insert verb here], buti pa c [insert name here] mas natural..effortless"

Naisip ko lang recently, what's wrong with trying hard?Is giving something a shot and giving your all not worth anything anymore? In a perfect world, those who try harder should get what it is they worked hard for. but this is obviously not a perfect world. Sometimes giving your all is a complete waste of time and energy. People are always saying try and try until you succeed blahblahblah. but the moment you try something and things didn't work out as well as you would have wanted, other people will put you down. Meanwhile, you see other people not caring, not trying, but getting all the glory. The "effortless" people are reaping all [your] benefits. bakeett??whhhy??is it for you to try harder?or for you to just give up?ewan ko. maybe this is another "you-can't-have-everything" situation or "everything-happens-for-a-reason" scenario.

Ang masasabe ko lang, for those "trying hards" out there, it takes a lot of guts and effort to actually try something knowing there's a big chance that you will fall flat on your face and people will "boo" at you..the people putting you down are the ones who don't have the nerve to try it themselves. inggit lang cla! at the end of the day, at least you tried. If it's really what you want, keep trying cause maybe, just maybe, it will pay off this time. you'll never know if you don't try again dba? and don't get envious on the "effortless" people who seem to get what they want with very little or no effort. sinuwerte lang cla. hard work beats luck always! :)

go figure! hahaha :D random!

[feeling] damsel in distress

Prince Charming doesn't exist. So, what are you waiting for?

"One day you realize that better knights do not come in shining armor as their armors are bashed in the battlefield. Nor are their horses white as they are stained with mud and blood. After all the brutality they go through, their weary souls will look for someone to find comfort in. And once they do, they will never let go. While the knight in shining armor has probably spent more time shining his armor than using it. He has many princesses waiting for him, he wont mind losing one.”

ayun naman pala e. d mo sinabe agad. sige antay lang ako :)

wala kang kasawasawa Jam. ewan ko sayo!

*thanks for this D :)

1. Lloyd Dobler from Say Anything

my main man, Lloyd. there is nothing extraordinary with him actually. he's just a guy who fell for a girl who everybody is telling him he couldnt get. i dunno what it is about him pero everytime i watch him, i just cant help but be all warm and fuzzy inside. i fall in love with him over and over again. I guess its how he shows he loves her in the simplest yet most endearing way. i super love Lloyd Dobler forever!

2. Henry Roth from 50 First Dates

i don't really need to explain myself here. mejo self explanatory na xa :) hahaha :D all i can say is, he can have it so much easier with another girl, but he chose the road that [logically]should not be taken. wow. san ka pa?love love love him! super pogi points for forgetful lucy!

3. Pete Monash from Win a Date With Tad Hamilton

my favorite bestfriend secretly inlove with his girl bestfriend! i just can't get enough of him. nkakagigil sa kacute-an. not in a physical way but in an overall way! and shempre pa, his infamous (in my world anyway) 6 smiles! waaah! i love Pete! he's my kind of geek :)

4. William Thacker from Notting Hill
i love him kc sobrang jologs and awkward nya with his "whoopsidaisies" and goggles in the theatre. its just so heartwarmingly cute :) pinakalove ko xa when Anna said she regretted going to him after the media found out. un lang! plus he saw through Anna's glitter and glamour for the girl she really is. who wouldn't fall for that?

5. Carlos from Crazy/Beautiful

aside from being insanely hot, i love Carlos because he inspired Nicole to be a better person and he didn't give up on her. i think all girls really need a Carlos in their lives :) literally and figuratively. hahahaha :D

6. Oliver Martin from A Lot Like Love

Oliver is the type of guy you can be silly and stupid with, and for that, i love him! bonus pogi points for the harana that rocked my world! :)

7. Aragorn from Lord of the Rings

my favorite knight in shining armor! he is just so king-ly. you can't help but be the damsel in distress that you are when you watch him defend your honor and shit. hahaha :P and bonus nalang na nde xa natempt magcheat [Eowyn] k Arwen while they were separated. and i love that he wears that necklace that Arwen gave him. aaw :) Save me Aragorn! *swooon*

8. Noah Calhoun from The Notebook

another "duh" candidate in the list. who doesn't love Noah?sinoooo???the dream house and the one-letter-a-day-for-a-year plus the you-and-me-forever speech palang e. need i say more?

9. Alex Hitchens from Hitch

because he's original and charming. and because he still has that geek from the past buried inside him somewhere which makes him down-to-earth and not arrogant. plus factor rin that he helps guys out with girls. and i like that he has all kinds of lines to feed for the guys he helped pero natongue tied xa with Sara :) aww :P

10. Oliver Barrett IV from Love Story

you have to watch it in order to get it. pero lets just say that he fought for Jennifer til the end, pride be damned. against all odds ang drama nila without being madrama. pwede ba un?hahaha :P basta bow ako sayo Oliver!

11. Patrick Verona from 10 Things I Hate About You

patrick pla ung name ni heath dun?hahaha :P anyhow, i love him because he saw Kat when no one else was looking :) and because he broke the walls that Kat surrounded herself with, especially when everyone else was afraid to break it down. He found the softie inside the very tough exterior. aaww.. ang swerte swerte mo Kat! :D

12. Landon Carter from A Walk To Remember

im not really crazy about him sa movie compared sa book but kudos to him for the things he did for Jamie. the star, telescope, tattoo etc. i don't need to elaborate! we all know what he did! hahaha :)

13. Gabe from Little Manhattan

Gabe is the leading man of my 11 year old dreams :) super sweet and charming boy grabe. nakakagigil. kung ganyan lang ung nagkacrush sakin nung bata pako, i don't know how i'll be able to resist :) kakainggit c rosemary tulescoooo!

14. Harry from When Harry Met Sally

If I can only have a guy who is the Harry to my Sally, I would be a very lucky girl. He is your best friend first and foremost; a guy who not only accepts you for who you are as a person but loves you especially because of your annoying quirks. grabe na! love him!

Vince's Life: The Next Chapter

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Books
Genre: Romance
Author:Vince O. Teves
THE much awaited sequel of my favorite book, Vince's Life. akala ko tlga nde nato lalabas. finally! the wait is over.

expectations wise, I didn't expect it to be better than the first one. Vince himself doesn't have the power to do that even if he tries. even so, I expected it to be a good book. and it was. so 5 stars parin kc 10 stars nman ung first one for me e. hehehe :) unlike the first one, ilan ilan lang ung fave chapters ko. pero sbrang kitang kita parin ung "vince" style of writing. galing parin grabe! he tells his story simply pero ambigat. needless to say, mejo affected ako after reading it. mixed emotions lang. hahaha :)

all in all, it's still a good book and its worth buying :) I am forever Vince's groupie! idol parin!

some fave lines from the book:

"she was gone, and in my solitude i knew that hope was of no use"

"technology, you just have to love it. halfway around the world, and we could still find ways to hurt each other."

on falling in love:
Vince: "It was like fireworks. You know how fireworks are always a surprise? It was like that. Everything was magical and just when I thought it couldn't get better, it always did get better until I thought I would explode from joy. And then it was over."

Cat: "It was just like magic. And then I grew up and found out it was all smoke and mirrors."

"You were supposed to make the more difficult choice. That's what people in love do.But you couldn't, selfish as you were, and I let you go because I knew that's what you needed to do."

"You tell me we're friends and then tell me that you met someone, as if that isn't supposed to affect me"

"You make me believe in magic again. And just when everything is so beautiful, you go and break the spell."

"you can't love someone who's never there"

"I had spent so long waiting for her to come back, and when she finally did, nothing was the same anymore."

"It's not exactly easy to forget. And sometimes it's good to remember."

"But we've both gone too far to go back."
